The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas break is extremely short (only 19 school days) and often jam packed with many activities. Here are a few short reminders from Annie Condron to help you (and the students) stay focused during the weeks between these breaks!

Bits & Bytes

The safety and welfare of our students and staff our our highest priority at Clearview. Next week, we will be conducting another lockdown drill. It is important that we practice these safety drills throughout the year to help you and the students know what to do in an emergency.

Although I was pleased with the outcome our September drill, there are a few important reminders to highlight before our next drill:

  • Please make sure that your doors are locked at all times. If your door is open during instruction, you should be making sure that it is in the lock position so that it can be quickly closed without having to take the time to lock it!
  • Double check your phones to make sure that there are stickers that indicate how to make a page. If there isn't, please contact Heather for one. Also, please make sure that your quick reference guide is placed by your phones.
  • Please wait until we announce to put the student accountability sheets under the door. In the case of a real lockdown, we would not want this information to be easily located.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Parent-teacher conferences stand in between us and Thanksgiving break. Once the conferences are complete, I hope you are able to take some time for yourself. Although I do not condone all of the suggestions in the following article by Lola Lolita, I thought we could all use a little humor! I highly recommend #19: Enjoy some well-deserved R & R with the ones you love.
